Algeria’s former energy minister Chakib Khelil is living his life in a normal way in the US and gives his opinion and analyses about oil market economic situation. He was ruled out of the Eni-Sonatrach corruption case in Italy. An arrest warrant for him issued by Algerian justice was banned, Le Jeune Afrique said.

The warrant was banned because it was not corrected by the Supreme Court as it had been conducted in accordance to false procedures.

The same newspaper reported citing sources close to Khelil that he lives in calm between Maryland and New York after Italian justice had implicitly acquitted him. He was ruled out of the list of suspects involved in the Eni-Sonatrach case although his name was mentioned during investigations.

He works as an energy advisor and is not worried about the corruption cases. He rejects any press interview but he keeps informing audience of his oil market analyses.

He expects that oil prices would be stable in the next few months and reach $80 per baril.
