Commerce Minister: “List of cheating importers is reviewed”

Commerce Minister, Bakhti Belaiab, revealed that his services reconsidered the list of some importers whose names were mentioned in the list of charting importers, and that after the investigation, which showed that they had been subject to injustice only, and that is why their names were sent in a list to the services of taxation to omit them from the blacklist, after making sure that they are working legally and free of any suspicion.

With regard to the cars’ import, the minister said, in a statement to the press, on the sidelines of the visit, which led him, on Tuesday, to the province of Setif, that his services will not reduce the import process, but will impose conditions that forced importers to import cars that meet all safety citizens’ terms.

“Most of the imported cars do not have all safety conditions, thus importers find themselves forced to leave the profession of importing cars automatically.”

“My services will issue deterrent laws that protect the national product, which Algeria focused on in the coming years, in order to reduce the import bill until, particularly with respect to products with broad promotion.”
