Preparations to amend the Constitution are officially launched, as Echorouk learned from reliable sources, that the preliminary version of the draft amendment to the Constitution, which the Presidency referred to both the Chairman of the National People’s Council, Arbi Ould Khlifa, and the Chairman of the National Assembly, Abdelkader Ben Saleh, then returned and took its way toward the presidency, where the technical committee, which includes few members, is preparing the final details, and government fixed the amendment deadlines, within a few days.

Reliable sources told Echorouk that the last file within the workshop of political reform that was announced by the President Bouteflika on April, 15, 2011, in a speech to the nation, on the eve of the opening ceremony of Tlemcen, Capital of Arab Culture, took its way to the final chapter.
“Second and third men in the state expressed their opinion about a document of primary amendment, which a technical committee is finishing”, though Echorouk sources refuse to talk about going into the chapters and legislative articles that will be addressed by amendment, as they it confirmed that the new version is based on a version that was prepared by the Technical Committee to amend the Constitution, which was delivered to all associations and political parties, ahead of the dialogue tour that was run by the Head of the President’s Office, Ahmed Ouyahia.
Same sources confirmed that there is no trace for the vice president, who raised a lot of controversy, before the last Presidential Elections, as the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, previously asserted that there is no such article in the constitutional amendment, at the height of the campaign, and the return of the article for Presidential Terms is likely to return as in the past, though Echorouk sources from the vicinity of the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, asserted that something is cooked and will be ready soon for consideration, and suggested that it comes to amending the Constitution, adding that the document will certainly reach the Council of Ministers, as it would be passed at a meeting of the government.
