Defence ministry calls on terrorists to surrender

The Algerian national defence ministry called on terrorists to surrender during the fasting month of Ramadan to benefit from valid measures before it is too late.

“On the occasion of Ramadan, the National Defence Ministry calls on the rest of terrorists to seize this opportunity before it is too late,” said the ministry in a release.

It also evoked President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s 2015 call on terrorists in mountains to surrender on the occasion of a referendum on the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation.

“I renew the nation’s call to its misled sons to come back and stop committing crimes in order to benefit from the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation,” said Bouteflika.

“I renew this call in the name of a strong State and the name of people because we have faith,” he added.
