Senior diplomatic sources revealed that the brothers Kouachi who are accused of attacking the French magazine Charlie Hebdo, are not registered within the lists of Algerian community residing in France, and there is no physical evidence which confirms that they are Algerians.

In return, Algeria is attending here on Sunday, within the demonstration of solidarity, which have the nature of official condemnation of terrorism, represented in the person of the Foreign Affairs Minister, Ramtane Laamamra.
Echorouk sources said the two brothers, Charif and Said Kouachi, are not registered within the Official Records of Algerian consulates in France, and did not carry any identification numbers, as is the case for the Algerian community that have the nationality.
“Official documents that were adopted by the Foreign Affairs Ministry counted the Algerian community that is residing in the French territories by one million people or less, while the informal figure, which remains non-documented legally is speaking about 4 million Algerians with dual nationality.”
“Estimates of the Foreign Affairs’ Ministry went to the three-quarters of Algerians who are living in France, and who are not registered at the services of the consulate.”
“If the French authorities had corroborating evidences that confirm that the accused in the case of the attack on the headquarters of the weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo on last Wednesday, are of Algerian origins, on the basis that the concerned were ensured by social services”.
“The accused have nothing to do in Algeria. They are not Algerian nationals because they do not carry a passport or identity card, or any non-authorized Algerian identity card. Registration procedures at the consulates are very easy. It was enough for a person who is born of Algerian father on French territory, and who is wishing to enroll within the community to provide a document that proves the father’s Algerian nationality. If we recognized that the father of the two suspects, who have died, are of an Algerian origin. The concerned were not willing to carry the Algerian nationality, thus they were French-born, educated and trained in France.
