Bad weather and strong winds that hit different parts of the country paralyzed air traffic and canceled many flights, for fear of planes crashes, as many planes were forced to return to Houari Boumediene airport.

Mohamed Boudiaf Airport in Constantine (eastern Algeria), noticed a hysterical situation after a plane’s deflection from the area due to strong winds which uprooted a part of the plane’s wing, which was scheduled to take off on a local flight, forcing piots to avoid adventure and postpone all flights, due to the worsening of weather for fear of accidents that may lead to mishaps.
Strong storm carrying heavy rain, snow caused the freezing of programmed flights in the past 48 hours, and in particular towards the East and South of the country’s airports, until improvement in weather conditions, as a plane that was flying from Houari Boumediene airport to Biskra airport was forced to land on Batna airport, due to the sand storm that hit the region and strong winds, which forced many aircraft that were heading to airports of Ghardaia, Sétif and Constantine to return to Algiers internal airport due to bad weather.
Air Algerie announced the cancellation of all flights and freezing all flights towards the South and East because of bad weather conditions that are prevailing in these areas, after planes were forced to return to the capital, where they are awaiting the return of good weather for programming flights normally.
Algeria is experiencing a series of air turbulence in the next few weeks, which led to significant decreases in temperature, and rain storms and snow on the mountains, not to mention the strong winds that reached 90 kilometers per hour, which cause dozens of traffic accidents, and uprooting trees, what sparked cancelling all flights for fear of planes crashes.
