Education: Crisis cell to monitor pupils' protests

Education Ministry appointed a “crisis cell” to monitor the final sections’ pupils to demand the threshold of lessons in the baccalaureate exam, Echorouk sources said.

“Sanctions will affect absents without justification that would reach up to exclusion from the Baccalaureate.”
“Wilayas which noticed the final sections’ protests to ask for the threshold in the baccalaureate, because of Education Ministry, Noria Benghabrit, statements, which announced the cancellation of lessons threshold for re-consideration of the baccalaureate in Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, Boumerdes, Djelfa, West and East of Algiers, and some high schools of Central Algiers Directorate, in addition to Baiad, where pupils still refuse joining their departments since six weeks ago”.
“Education Ministry was quick to install a crisis cell which tasks are the careful follow-up and timely monitoring of the final sections of Secondary School pupils, and punishments which reach up to exclusion of pupils from sitting for the BAC exam,  by dropping the character of “pupil” from the registry file, allowing them to sit for the BAC exam as free candidates, in coordination with the National Office of Examinations and Competitions”.
Successful rates in the baccalaureate 2015, will exceed 12 to 20, so there will not be successful pupils with the rates of 10 and 11 to 20, after the application of what is known as “synthetic card”, or continuous assessment for students in the final sections, through calculating the annual rate which includes the three semesters, plus the baccalaureate rate.
