Education: Ministry to upgrade key assistants to “Education Supervisors”

Education Ministry decided to correct the mistakes that were committed by some Education Directorates against the principal assistants , as it will upgrade them to the rank of “Education Supervisor”.
Parallel to the ministry’s action, the National Syndicate of Education Assistants, which belongs to the National Syndicate of Education Workers, decided to postpone its strike that it was presumed to start here on Tuesday and tomorrow Wednesday.
National Secretary in charge of organization at the National Syndicate of Education Workers, Kouider Yahiaoui, told Echorouk; ” Syndicate of Education Assistants decided to postpone its two-day national protest, and this after the meeting which brought it with representatives of the National Education Ministry, as it reached an agreement about some demands, and the ministry decided to correct the mistakes that some education directorates committed, through giving strict instructions to start the upgrading of all key education assistants who have 10 years of experience to the rank of Education Supervisors”.
“The problem was strongly posed especially in Setif and Batna (eastern Algeria). These directorates committed the mistake of refusing to upgrade them to education supervisors on the grounds that this rank is in the demise”.
“Education Ministry announced, on the lips of its central director in charge of negotiating with the accredited Education Syndicates, that it will issue applicable texts to identify the functions of education supervisors and key education supervisors, a demand that the national syndicate insisted to respond to, especially at the time in which the functions of the education assistants are disturbed”.
“The ministry has committed to respond to all the syndicate demands, expect with the demands that it exceeded, on the grounds that it has no powers to take the decision, especially what is related to amending the basic law for the sector’s users 315/08 which was amended and completed the law 240/12, a demand that will be solved at the level of the joint committee between syndicates and the ministry that was appointed recently. The syndicate will deliver, here on Tuesday, the register to embody the points that it agreed upon. A national symposium will be organized, marking the presence of the ministry representatives, to explain the imbalances that exist in the basic law, provide proposals in order to realize them in the upcoming amendment”.
