Education: Official dates for the Baccalaureate, final exams are identifiedby the Ministry

National Education Ministry announced on the calendar of experimental examinations, and exams of the third and final semester, while it officially decided to compensate the second semester for the pupils of final sections, with marks and continuous results for assessment, so as the pupil will not lose the right to get the “list of marks” at the end of the school year, especially after it was decided to cancel the second semester’s tests.
Education Minister identified, through the departments of public and technological secondary education and basic education, in a correspondence that was addressed, on Tuesday, to DOE in provinces for implementation of the decision, that was set on the date of May,17 to conduct the experimental baccalaureate, middle school certificate, and graduation of the end of primary school, to train pupils on the atmosphere of public examinations, especially from the psychological point of view in order to alleviate pressure.
As it announced in the same correspondence that a third and last exams’ semester for the rest of the levels will be on June 24, for any pupil early in years, for the second and third year of middle school education.
However, the ministry surprised pupils of primary phase for the first year, second, third and fourth years, through selecting the next date of June, 21 to conduct exams of the third and final semester.
This ministerial action will transform primary schools to “nurseries”, on the grounds that the date of June 21 will mark the period of examination papers, and the process of correction, and therefore, since all teachers and professors will be present in centers for assembly and national correction, especially since these centers can not operate without the professors of primary education.
Therefore managers will be forced to deal intelligently with this critical situation, as it has been the practice in past years. While some institutions suggested the need for the third semester exams, for primary pupils until May, because of their age and thus they can not withstand high temperatures, confirming that the ministry, each year prepares a Calender for exams without any prior study.
