National Education Minister, Nouria Ben Ghabrit, will be forces to sit down again to the dialogue table to resume negotiations on the syndicates’ filed demands, and realize some of them, because she resorted to all solutions to stop the strikes, on the grounds that the proposed rescue outlets are currently premature, especially after pensioners refused to join again their institutions, because most of them belong to the CNAPEST syndicate.
On the other hand the number of hours that were lost from final stage pupils (BAC) are 60 hours in one week.
Informed sources told Echorouk that the CNAPEST’s three-day open strike that will be launched by Syndicates’ Bloc, will start on March, 9, and it threatens to realize a white year, that is free of content in terms of lessons and questions that are expected to be prepared for the official exams, because the protests have come in a very sensitive period, and in the most important semester, that is considered shorter and more important, on the grounds that it is usually relied on the preparation of questions in the first and second semesters, therefor, the strikes will disturb the school year.
“Minister Benghbrit resorted to all the ways and means to stop the open-ended strike that was called upon by the CNAPEST with the format an automatically renewed day, which was met with indifference of professors about the ministry’s punishment, refusing to stop the protest until the realization of their demands. Education Minister has no options, and accordingly, if she wants to save the rest of the school year, she will be obliged to negotiate again with the striking syndicates, to resume negotiations and to meet some of the demands, at least the urgent ones, on the grounds that the solutions that are currently proposed by her are “premature” and would not do any good. Otherwise, the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, will be forced to intervene to save the school from a white year.”
“False data that are provided to the National Education Minister, about the strike rates in Wilayas (provinces), worsened the situation and complicated it more and more, as this was demonstrated by the statements that were described as a provocation against Benghabrit”.
“Teachers’ retirees refused to meet the ministry’s call to teach pupils in the place of the striking teachers, considering that most of them belong to the CNAPEST, and therefore, they have also decided to support their fellow strikers, which was ignored of the minister, while other teachers refused to provide support classes for Secondary Schools’ pupils, in contrast pupils declared their categorical rejection of receiving lessons by new teachers.”
