Education Minister’s threats to fire all strikers increased the determination of teachers to hold on to the option of the strike, Independent National Council for Users of Teaching for the Three Phases of Education said.
“Protest movement will not stop unless the demands are realized, at a time the rate of response to the strike in its fifth day reached 81% nationally.”
Independent National Council explained, on the lips of the national secretary in charge of Information and Communication, Messaoud Boudiba, asserted that the ministry is trying to undermine the teachers’ dignity and not serving them.
“Firing any striker from office in accordance with the action that is legally void, will not intimidate and will not push them, until achieving the raised demands”.
“Rate of response to the strike in its fifth day reached 81% in the secondary phase. Last meeting with the Minister Benghabrit was directed to unionist bloc and was devoted to open the special law symbolically, and dealing with the block becomes legal after it was illegal in the first half of February, as the CNAPEST recorded a clear disregard for the floor of their demands”.
