Education: Teachers posts reduced to 10,000 pursuant to Government's austerity policy

Education Ministry committed to a set of standards relating to the rationalization of financial posts, pursuant to the instructions of the Prime Ministry about austerity in creating employment, as it reduced the number of jobs for teachers from 18.000 to only 10,000 posts, in contrast it decided to open 10,000 posts for office administrators without reduction.
A competition will be organized on the basis of the certificate, and the “written test” will be abolished to give priority in hiring teachers who were excluded in 2012.
Echorouk learned from informed sources that the ministry programmed recruitment competitions to join the rank of professor of education at the three educational stages, in the last week of March, in the wake of the downturn for the decision to organize the competition on the basis of “the written test,” and on the basis of the certificate and studying files for the adoption of a unified marks’ scale, in order to give priority in hiring to the excluded professors in 2012,2013 and 2014, and which number reaches 700 professor, as these teachers participated in the recruitment competitions that were organized by the ministry, and they succeeded, after they began in exercising their functions, and who were arrested after a year of work, following a posterior control’s issuance for public service, because of the mistake that was committed by directorates of schooling and examinations.
