Embassy of France: Schengen Visa Procedure Can Be Speeded Up For “Compelling” Reasons

The French Embassy in Algeria announced on Wednesday that people who have received an appointment at the “TLS Contact Center” for a Schengen visa in Algiers and want to accelerate their appointments for “compelling” reasons can apply for such a speedy procedure via an email to the service concerned.

“In order to respond to urgent requests to expedite the dates, persons who have received an appointment with TLS Contact in order to secure a Schengen visa and wish to submit their dates for “compelling” reasons,  must apply to this effect by e-mail at the following address: [email protected]

The statement pointed out that “the French General Consulate in Algiers is steadfastly working to resolve this situation,” stressing that the urgent requests must be of “humanitarian, medical or professional reasons or related to international commitments in France,” stressing that “they must be accompanied by documents that justify such a swift procedure”. 

It added that the relevant applicants’ files comprising all these requested documents will then be processed at the earliest possible time.

The statement also said that visa-seeking people who are having difficulty getting an appointment via the TLS Contact website can use the Center’s electronic assistance by clicking on”Contact Us” at the following address: https://fr.tlscontact.com/dz/alg/inquiry.php.
