Emergency in pediatrics because of crackers

Health and Hospital Reform Ministry sent an urgent instruction for hospitals and clinics’ services in charge of night alternate, asking them to tighten reception procedures and rapid vouch for kids who visit the emergency services on the night of the Prophet Mohammad’s birth, because of the large number of potential injuries that are usually caused by firecrackers, as the instruction asked heads of medical services to strengthen human potential from nurses and doctors to take care of the large number of injuries and avoid the stress and chaos.

Head of Pediatrics at Belfort Hospital, Professor Mostafa Khaiati, who revealed in a statement to Echorouk, that the night of the Prophet’s Birthday, is among the most difficult nights in pediatrics, because of the large number of injuries that is caused by firecrackers, especially in big cities which are densely populated like the capital, which records annually the heavier toll of injuries.
“Quality of injuries is increasingly dangerous from year to year, because of the advanced kinds of crackers, which become explosives that are capable of causing serious injuries on people’s health, as it caused last year third-degree burns among kids, in addition to birth defects and injuries of varying severity on the eye and ear level which caused blindness and loss of hearing”.
