Exhaustive Information About Those Involved In Terrorism And Crime On Digital Electronic Screens

Regional units and mobile teams of the National Gendarmerie across the 48 provinces of Algeria are to be equipped with digital electronic screens fitted with an exhaustive database containing all information on all persons questioned by security and judicial services in matters linked to terrorism or organized crime, as well as with a thorough list of missing persons and other sensitive information.

 Meanwhile, pursuing his field activities, the General Commander of the National Gendarmerie, Major General Menad Nouba, pointed on Wednesday at the inauguration of the headquarters of the intervention group of Sidi Ghiles (west of Tipasa province) to the important role of this Gendarmerie unit in securing sensitive infrastructures, including the large commercial port slated for achievement soon  in Hamdania, in the region of Cherchell.

Major General Menad Nouba particularly insisted on the presence of the cadres of this Para-military national force on the spot, and on the importance of the role of the intervention group of Sidi Ghiles in the securing of the sensitive infrastructures, like the project of the future major commercial port planned to be built in the Hamdania region.

It should be noted that Hamdania, a region straddling Tipasa and Cherchell, is preparing to host the construction of a very large commercial port with a processing capacity of 6.5 million containers of 20 feet per year and 28 million of general merchandise.

The mega project has a total investment of $ 3.3 billion dollars through a long-term Chinese financial credit.

Major General Menad Nouba also inaugurated the headquarters of the National Gendarmerie’s intervention group and the territorial brigade of the Sidi Ghiles as well as another brigade in Hameur El Ain area, bringing the rate of security coverage, by the National Gendarmerie forces, across this province to 85.7%.

Major General Nouba, who is on an inspection visit to the provinces of the Center coming under the command of the National Gendarmerie of Blida, is also expected in Bouira and Msila, where he will meet tomorrow with the senior executives and heads of the operational units of the above-mentioned provinces.
