Experts: Algeria lost 10.000.000 ZDZ due to Internet interruption

Informatics experts, Abdellouche Othmane and Younes Guerrar criticize the policy of digitization in Algeria, given the heavy losses that are incurred by the official bodies, institutions and citizens with each interruption that may reach 10.000.000 ZDZ per day, without counting the repairs.

Information expert Abdellouche Othman told Echorouk that the incident the internet cable interruption is a disaster and misfortune that placed Algeria in an electronic “isolation”, that raised the talk about informational underdevelopment of our country.

“How can officials allow the post and communication technologies to conduct this network with primitive means, as it is not logical to disable the Algerians’ works because of cable interruption in an incident that may be impossible in other countries”.

“It was time for the establishment of an independent ministry for the conduct of communication technologies, because the succession of ministers did not allow the sector’s development, the fiber optical project and the digital government which was set to avoid interruption incidents are not realized.”
