The Premiership office has decided to convey the vexed file of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in various projects with the financial backing of the “Ansej”, “Angem” and “Cnac” youth employment agencies to the Ministry of labour and social security for a deep perusal in order to hammer out appropriate formulas likely to salvage these unproductive enterprises and to straighten out their dire financial situation.

According to instructions addressed by the Prime Minister’s office to these youth-employment agencies, the relevant files have been transferred to the Ministry of labour and social welfare in its capacity as a trustee, and that the latter will endeavour to find adequate legal solutions for saving these failing SMEs which are now facing judicial proceedings for non-payment of their financial debts.

In this connection, the Director-General of the National Agency for support to youth employment “Ansej”, Mourad Zmali, has again reaffirmed that that the clearing of these failing enterprises’ debts was to be ruled out altogether, and advocated instead the mapping out by his agency of a precise debt-rescheduling program for these lagging SMEs with a view to salvaging their various projects and warding off the specter of total bankruptcy.
