Since the beginning of 2026, Algeria has received a series of high-level economic delegations from Spain, Vietnam, Turkey, and Greece, in addition to a multi-sector Indian delegation that arrived in Algiers on Sunday. These visits reflect growing efforts to explore partnership opportunities and strengthen economic cooperation in various strategic sectors.
The discussions covered the industrial, pharmaceutical, mechanical, agricultural, electronics, household appliance, maritime transport, and tourism sectors, reflecting the growing foreign interest in the Algerian market within a short period.

In this context, the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI) is organising an Algerian-Indian Business Forum in Algiers on Sunday and Monday. The forum will bring together business leaders from both countries active in the pharmaceutical, mechanical, agricultural, and technology sectors to discuss partnership opportunities and ways to expand joint investments.

This Indian delegation, the second to visit Algeria, is headed by Manish Sharma, Joint Director of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO). On Sunday, the National Iron and Steel Holding Company (SNS), along with several of its subsidiaries, including Alpha Pipe, SNRV, and ONCC, participated in the Algerian-Indian Economic Forum, organised by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI).

The forum provided a crucial platform for exchanging views on prospects for industrial cooperation, enhancing knowledge transfer, and opening new avenues for partnership between economic operators in both countries. It also featured targeted bilateral business meetings aimed at developing concrete and sustainable cooperation projects of mutual benefit, reflecting SNS’s commitment to supporting national economic dynamism and promoting the openness of Algerian industry to international partnerships.

In a related development, Algeria hosted a high-level Spanish economic delegation in January, led by the director of the Port of Alicante and featuring several business leaders. Discussions focused on the possibility of establishing a twinning agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oran and its Spanish counterpart, which would facilitate the exchange of expertise and open new avenues for trade cooperation.

Algeria also received a Vietnamese economic delegation, headed by the Vietnamese ambassador and accompanied by several business operators. During a meeting with the Oran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, investment opportunities in various sectors, including the coffee industry, were explored, along with potential partnerships to bolster trade between the two countries.

Within the framework of Algerian-Turkish economic relations, a delegation from the Turkish Association of Exporters of Electrical and Electronic Equipment visited Algeria, where discussions focused on preparing for the organisation of an Algerian-Turkish business forum and direct bilateral meetings between economic operators, with the identification of priority areas of cooperation, particularly household appliances, electronics, cables, and electricity production and distribution equipment. These events are scheduled to take place in Oran from May 10 to 14.
