Former Minister Shoots His Wife

Residents of Zeralda, west of Algiers, were shocked when the former Religious Affairs’ Minister, Abdelhafid Amokran, shot his wife, for reasons that are still unknown until now.

According to familiar sources, the former minister Amokran, fired three shots by a pistol on his wife and her in different parts of the body, but fortunately the bullets were not fatal and the wife passed the stage of danger after receiving the necessary help in the hospital.

National Gendarmerie arrested the former minister, took him to the headquarters of Zeralda unit and began investigating him to uncover the real reasons behind the incident.
