A delegation of French oil companies will pay a three-day-visit to the Arzew industrial zone in Oran on Saturday on a “special” economic mission.
The French Embassy in Algiers said in a release that the companies will attend a meeting with officials at Sonatrach and will visit a number of sites in Arzew.
This comes amid a controversy about privatization in Algeria and Article 66 of the Financial Act 2016.
Earlier, energy minister Salah Khabri promised investors to ease partnership between private companies and Sonatrach in exploration and drilling projects.
Oil price remains at its lowest level as it reached $39 on Friday. This has been the worst price ever for 9 years.
