Gaid Salah: “Paris attacks confirm to the world that terrorism is a threat to all humanity”

National People’s Army members need to consider the backgrounds and knowledge of the dimensions of the events in the region and in the world, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, National Defense Deputy Minister, said on Sunday.

“They should realize the sensitivity of the tasks that are entrusted to them in the fight against terrorism and the defense of national unity.”

Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, Gaid Saleh, asserted, during the working and inspection visit, on Sunday, to the Military Academy of Cherchel, added in an implicit reference to the terror attacks that occurred in Paris two days ago, that the whole world has recently confirmed that terrorism has become a threat to humanity as a whole, calling upon the military personnel in their different positions and functions that they should understand the backgrounds and the dimensions of the events in the region and in the world, and realize properly the sensitivity of their tasks which they should fulfill day and night to face any emergency, to protect the security of Algeria and preserve its national sovereignty, and safeguard the sanctity of its territory and popular unity.

Gaid Saleh focused, in his speech, on the various military categories and responsibilities, due to the importance of Algeria’s history, and urged them to make it a source of inspiration for all behaviors.

“All these factors reinforce the spirit of patriotism and raise the degree of collective morale in order to achieve the desired professional profitability.”
