Algeria topped the list of the safest countries in Africa, while it ranked seventh in the world, according to a ranking that was conducted by the American statistical organization Gallup. After obtaining a survey of 136,000 people around the world at 90 points out of 100 points, ahead of 37 African countries.

The Gallup Organization is drawing conclusions from its survey in order to obtain information on people’s sense of safety and personal experience with crime and the rule of law, as questions were asked about the samples of their exposure to cases of theft and attacks in their country, and their sense of security during the walk at night in the neighborhoods where they live, and about their confidence in the police interventions.

After the publication of the results of the survey, Algeria tops the list of the safest countries, and Arab personalities and artists congratulated it condemning the situation of the Arab region and its wars along the lines of Syria, Yemen, Libya and Egypt, among them the Syrian journalist Mostafa El Agha and the Syrian actress Nesreen Tafesh and many others.

In this regard, the expert on military affairs, Ben Hamlat Ramdane told Echorouk, “Algeria has long been classified as a safe country, as Houari Boumediene airport has been classified for decades, as one of the safest airports in the world, and is recognized by the powerful countries as being very safe, because of the reinforcements and intensive security control.”

“In the case of Algeria, it is threatened with its security and safety from all sides, as organized and trans-border crime is present in the Sahel countries intensively, including the trade in arms, ammunition, soft and solid drugs and the existence of African illegal migration.”

“All these circumstances threaten the stability of any country in the world, yet thanks to its armed forces and security alert, it was able to secure its borders from all dangers”.

“Algeria has also become an obstacle to the terrorist groups that are deployed in the coast, especially in Libya, after the concentration of the armed forces and various security factions in the large south, which has become a hot zone”.

“Algeria has gone through the most difficult period, the black decade, which would have eliminated the existence of any state that lived under the same circumstances. However, we were able by the will of the people and the armed forces to move beyond the stage and secure all the provinces, and clear the most difficult areas such as mountains and forests.”

“The Algeria citizen lives in the safety of his daily life, whether in transport stations or major commercial centers and residential neighborhoods, unlike many foreign countries. Our country deserves this classification as the safest country in Africa, especially as a semi-continent in terms of geographical area, and even ranked seventh globally, and the five major countries occupy the top ranks and Algeria comes behind them directly, according to Gallup international survey.”
