Investigating judge of Sidi M’Hamed Court will hear, tomorrow, Monday, to the retired General Houcine Benhadid, on two charges, the first one is related to trying to discourage the armed forces, and the second is related to the possession of a weapon and war ammunition, while the defense of Benhadid confirmed that the National Defense Ministry filed a complaint at the civil court and not the military court, and that they will visit their client in jail Sunday.

Echorouk judicial sources said that the retired Gen. Houcine Benhadid, was arrested by elements the research platoon of the regional gendarmerie group of Algiers, and after that he was taken to the regional battalion of Cheragua gendarmerie, to listen to him and transfer him to the public prosecutor at the Sidi M’Hamed court, on Thursday, at 10:00 pm, before issuing the decision of placing him in provisional detention at 11:30 pm, as the investigation judges will listen to him on Monday.
For its part, the defense authority confirmed that the retired Gen. Houcine Benhadid, confirmed that the National Defense Ministry, filed a complaint at the civil court and not the military court, contrary to what was promoted by some military agents, about the declaration of military agent of depositing him in provisional prison, and said that she will visit Benhadid, here on Sunday in prison, and in this context, the defense lawyer of Benhadid, Mr. Bachir Mechri, told Echorouk, that his client is followed in one case only, based on a complaint that was filed by the National Defense Ministry, relating to charges of trying to thwart the determination of the army and the possession of weapons and war ammunition, at the Sidi M’Hamed competent court, and that all interpretations in Benhadid case are unfounded, especially with regard to the judicial follow-up at the military court, because he is not accused in the case of smuggling weapons or harming the security of the army”.
