GFP-2016: Algeria Ranks Second Military Power In Africa, Third In Arab World

Algerian armed forces ranked third in the ranking of the most powerful Arab military powers, after the Egyptian army, which ranked first, and then the Saudi army, which ranked second, according to the report of the “Global Fire Power” for 2016, which is specialized in military affairs.

GFP report was issued this month on the world rankings of the world military powers for 2016, and began studying since the middle of last year, the classification of global armies of countries. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked second in the Arab world, after the Egyptian armed forces, while Algeria ranked third and Syria fourth, at the Arab level.

Egypt ranked 12th in the world after it ranked 18th in 2015, followed by Saudi Arabia in second place in the Arab world, which ranked 24th in the world after it was 28 in 2015, followed by Algeria that ranked 26th internationally and third in Arab world, and Syria ranked fourth and 36 internationally after it ranked 42nd internationally in 2015.

Morocco ranked fifth in the Arab world and ranked 56th in the world after it ranked 49th in the world in 2015.

The ranking of other Arab armies as follows: United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon and Southern Sudan. Somalia ranked last in the Arab world and 125 globally, out of 126 countries in the list.

Globally, the United States topped the list, followed by Russia in second place, then China, India and France.

Turkey ranked eighth in the world, and the occupation army “Israel” ranked 16th, and Iran ranked 21st in the world.
