Government justifies the decision to ease the terms of cars’ marketing

Government’s decision to undo the book of conditions that is special for the activity of cars concessionaires, left repercussions that required the intervention of the Industry and Mines Ministry, to provide clarifications about the decline in taking the right decision, which was considered a compliance of the government to the cars concessionaires pressure, while it justified this decline with what it said it aims to “preserve the interests of the national economy and the citizen.”

APS published a statement that was attributed to the Industry Ministry, which showed that modifying the ministerial decree that was dated on March 23, 2015, which identified the books of charges on the conditions for the exercise of their activity that is related to a certified car dealer, aiming to raise confusion about the application of the new procedures.

“This updating comes in accordance with the principles that were set forth in the charges notebook in order to raise confusion about the application of the new provisions and interpretations about it. Updating the contents of the latest number of the Official Gazette is part of exercising their powers and starting from the principle of preserving the interests of the national economy and the citizen.”

“Every application for the acquisition of a new car is presented starting from April 15, 2015, the date of the decision’s entry into force and must respond to the new standards. Amendment process procedures for the activity of the certified cars’ concessionaires, is designed to remedy the shortcomings that were recorded in the field.

This reflects the new arrangement according to the statement “the principles defined in the legal framework for this activity march mainly of security and strengthening the rights of consumers and regulate and control the market through greater transparency and protection of the national economy.”
