Hard currency is authorized at 1,000 Euros for people who enter or leave Algeria

Finance Act bill that was approved on Monday, registered points in favor of Algerian immigrants who live abroad, as the law adopted several amendments that were proposed by the community MPs, especially the MP, Noureddine Belmeddah, and which will be applicable early next year, after the law’s publication in the Official Gazette.

It is noticeable through these amendments that Algerians who live abroad, whether they are illegal immigrants or residents are supposed to end their suffering of the transfer of corpses of their loved ones who died abroad, as the corpses transfer procedures will be in favor of Algerian illegal immigrants through the inclusion of an indigent phrase including this category, and the adoption of a fund from the renewal of the consular card that is allocated for the corpses’ transfer from abroad who are registered at the Algerian consulates.

Among the amendments that were included in the Finance Act 2016, we find the file of the immigrants’ corpses transfer to the homeland, with the inclusion of the term “destitute of the community” that benefit from the State’s guarantee to transfer their corpses in the framework of the national solidarity, including the illegal immigrants who do not have residency documents.

Another amendment was included by the same MP, Noureddine Belmeddah, about increasing the authorized hard currency to the range of 1,000 Euros or equivalent, meaning that all passengers who have this value are not obliged to declare them when entering or leaving Algeria without showing a bank document or any other document.
