Housing projects: Algeria will not rely on foreigners anymore
Applicants for AADL2 program can pay the second part and choose sites starting from January, housing minister Abdelmadjid Teboune said on Monday.
The minister announced that agreements will be signed with private companies to launch new housing programs at reasonable prices. This is meant to help the State in eliminating the housing crisis by 2019.
“These agreements will be sealed in partnership with the housing ministry. Still, the government will always have the right to build social houses for needy people. We will not rely on foreigners to build houses anymore. Because of that, we will open door to private companies to build houses,” he added.
He also said property acts delivery has been delayed and he gave instructions to officials to ease the operation in all the provinces.
Speaking about real-estate agencies, he said an investigations will be opened about agencies operating without accreditation.
