How Was The Child Moustafa Abducted From His French Mom?

Algiers Gendarmerie services, solved, on Wednesday, a mystery that aroused much controversy among the Algerian and French public opinion, forcing the French Prime Minister to intervene during his visit to Algeria in April, after the child Moustafa Madjouri, was kidnapped by his French mother for three years, bu his Algerian father, who forged the documents to bring him to Algeria.

Echorouk received precise details about the child’s return to his mother on May 3, when she arrived on a private flight from Paris to Houari Boumedienne airport, after receiving a phone call from her lawyer in Algeria.

The case dates back to August 16, 2014, when Samia, who is French, left her son Moustafa with his father Hakim, an Algerian, to spend the weekend in accordance with the French law after their divorce. But the latter arranged everything to abduct his 4-year-old son, by falsifying all his documents.

Hakim returned to Algeria with the child Moustafa, and in each time he rented a house on the outskirts of the capital Algiers, for a maximum period of six months and a year. At the same time, the mother of the child filled a complaint to the French authorities, which informed their Algerian counterpart, before issuing an arrest warrant by Interpol.

The issue sparked a large controversy in the French and Algerian public opinion in 2014, as an association was created to support and defend the issue of the “child Moustafa”, and things remained the same and the Algerian security services intensified their inquiries and investigations using all means until the visit of the French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, who personally asked the Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sallal to intensify the search for the child Moustafa who was taken from his mother.

General Prosecutor of Algiers Judicial Council transferred the issue to the regional group of gendarmerie, which ordered its units to investigate the subject, especially that the kid’s father “Hakim” was living in the municipality of Sidi Moussa before traveling to France, and information that reached the regional battalion of Barki in Algiers, through the gendarmerie unit of Cherarba indicating to the whereabouts of the kidnapped child Moustafa, as the latter rented a house, and went out in the morning and did not return until nine pm.

On the basis of this, a plan was prepared by the Gendarmerie, under the supervision of the commander of the regional brigade of Baraki regional group, and with the assistance of the owner of the house and the permission of the Republic Prosecutor in Harrach, the place was raided in the early hours of May,3, and gendarmes were forced to break the back door because the man refused to open the front door. 

During the inspection, gendarmes heard movements inside the cupboard of one of the rooms, where they the child Moustafa was found in a normal condition.

Gendarmerie services informed the lawyer of Moustafa’s mother,  who in turn contacted her to take a private plane from France to Algeria, to hug her son, and her eyes were full of tears after an absence of three full years.

Father Hakim was presented to the public prosecutor in Larbaa court, who in turn ordered his detention in temporary detention, and he is likely to be tried this week.
