Human Rights League Accuses Morocco of Dumping Algeria with Drugs

Algerian League for Defending Human Rights accuses Morocco of dumping Algeria with drugs, and this after the spread of the phenomenon in Algeria as a result of introducing tons of drugs from Morocco across the western border.

In the face of this situation, Houari Kaddour, National Secretary in charge of the files of the Algerian League for Human Rights’ Defense, called upon all the authorities and civil society organizations to move to debate the issue in international forums, including the United Nations and the rest of other international and regional organizations, in order to combat firmly what he considered an undeclared war against Algerian youth.

Same source asserted on Monday, in a statement which copy is available to Echorouk, that the National Office for Drug Control confirms the report that was prepared by the National Bureau of the Algerian League for Human Rights’ Defense, and proved that tons of drugs penetrate the Algerian border coming from the western border of the country.

ALHRD said that the most recent report of the United Nations on Drugs and Crime, which showed that the areas that were allocated for the cultivation of cannabis in Morocco represent  57,000 hectares compared to 10,000 hectares in Afghanistan, and in front of these facts the Algerian League for Human Rights’ Defense accused Morocco, as it is the financier number one with narcotic poison, and is trying to target Algerian youth and destroy their minds, after cannabis cultivation in Morocco has become a priority of the Moroccan regime, and is working to export these quantities with the complicity of the Moroccans to the western border of Algeria.
