Interior Minister, Noureddine Badaoui: “Everyone Should Be Prepared For Elections, Important Laws”

Interior and Local Communities Minister, Noureddine Badawi, called upon all the ministry’s frames including managers and administrators to the need to intensify work in the next phase, which will notice important dates, in the forefront the legislative elections, and ordered them to go out of their offices and allocate important time for field work, and make sure that all the programs and policies that are prepared are embodied in the field.

Interior Minister added, during an assessment meeting with the ministry’s frames, including the managers, on the eve of the social year’s start; “Interior Ministry is sovereign and what awaits you, is much more important that what was achieved. Everyone should be responsible of his/her mission”.

“Next year will be pivotal and important for Algeria and Algerians, especially since there is a set of organic and applicable laws, that will be displayed and discussed at the level of parliament, as Algeria will be on a date with the elections and a lot of files that require of our sector to be on a high level of responsibility and solidarity and to work hard to achieve these goals”.

Noureddine Badawi regrets, according to sources that attend the meeting on Saturday, the existence of a rift between the central administration and local administration, and he also added; “There should be efforts by everyone to embody our plans and our strategy and our programs, otherwise what is the point if the ministry’s program and aims will have no echo and embodiment at the local level?”, calling for an assessment of what was done by the ministry and the ambitions that are awaited by all the provinces and municipalities of the country.

“I sensed a kind of complacency at the local level despite the instructions that were provided”, addressing the central managers: “Where is the fault? Is it at the central level, or are there parties that do not want to achieve the instructions and help raise various challenges, like upgrading service to the citizen which is not considered the issue of the Minister alone nor frames on their own, but is everyone’s issue”.

On the economic side,Noureddine Badaoui, renewed his instructions to all the local and central officials and the elected to a creative community of wealth that shall be according to the specificity of each region and to go out of the old rentier opinion that is only associated to oil, and encourage small business holders and universities and institutes graduates.

“Interior Ministry will consider all the concerns of the sector’s staff, through the granting of concessions and incentives for workers and frames”.
