Informed sources revealed on Saturday that one of the former detainees of “Guantanamo” prison was slain in a US air raid near Mosul against elements of the “Daesh” terrorist Organization active in Iraq and Syria.

The Algerian prisoner, called “N.” hailing from the east of the country, was released from the famous Guantanamo prison in 2010 after his arrest in Pakistan in 2002 in the aftermath of the end of the “Tora Bora” battles and the dismantling of “al Qaeda” terrorist group in Afghanistan.

He was later on released from detention and then resided for a while in his city before moving to Turkey and from there to Iraq, where he was widely reported to have joined the terrorist organization.
