Public freedoms and legal affairs at the interior minister said Algeria is not very concerned by terror international organization recruitment. The number of Algerians working for terror groups in the Middle East is estimated at 100 while donated money at mosques is watched by security committees.

The official said the national defence ministry took new measures to exchange information related to counterterrorism operations. They are meant to protect young people from being recruited by terror organizations.

“Those measures had positive results and foiled attempts to recruit Algerian young people in the Middle East. ISIS uses social media to recruit them. Because of them, everyone should fight this phenomenon,” he told a radio channel.

Speaking about money collection at mosques, Talbi said 6 billion dinars were collected between the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014. The interior minister assigned prefects to work with mosque committees for money collection.
