Israeli medical equipment to treat Algerians in hospitals

Algerian health minister Abdelmalek Boudiaf assigned a commission in charge of coordinating with the economic and financial police. An investigation will be launched in imported medical equipment carrying the Star of David.

This comes as the minister received a detailed report about imported medical equipment including scanners, blood pressure measurement, diabetes and x-ray tools.

The reports said a number of hospitals received equipment which has a golden David star on it.

A number of Otima. C. T. scanners Worthing 12 billion centimes were imported from a foreign company which has a subsidy in Algeria. It is a large medical equipment manufacturer and has been operating in Haifa in Israel for more than 12 years, Echorouk has learnt.

The report held importing barons responsible for promoting Israeli goods which are forbidden in Algeria.

According to the same sources, the minister pled to punish all the importers involved in this operation by prosecuting them when the investigation is over.
