Judge: Khalifa is not a main suspect in the century scandal

A judge at a court in Blida accepted a request made by Abdelmoumene Khalifa’s lawyers not to call him the main suspect in the century scandal according to lawyer Nacer Lazer.

“The judge accepted the lawyers’ request. Abdelmoumene will be considered as an ordinary suspect. He was not even heard,” said Lazer.

His colleague Samir Sidi Said said it is not normal that he is considered as a main suspect in a criminal court.

The golden boy is expected to appear in court on Wednesday for the first time since the case was introduced to justice in 2006.

Khalifa is accused of theft, cheating, counterfeiting and corruption.
