“Late” wages reach up to 600,000 ZDZ in installment for 81,000 professors

Education syndicates obtained on Sunday new gains in the “last chance” meeting which was headed by the National Education Minister, and thus they ensured a quiet academic without disturbances.

Education Minister decided to add the “late” financial sums for the integrated professors whose number is 81.000 professors across the 39 remaining provinces on 5 stages, because of the procedures, while it was decided to freeze the foreign employment competitions for the benefit of education assistants and the settlement of the old teachers’ files under a new instruction.

Benghabrit announced, during the meeting, which brought her together with the education independent syndicates, on a number of measures in the form of “decisions”, after the negotiations with the government, so that she confirmed that the Finance Ministry agreed to pay the “late” wages at the level of 39 provinces, on the grounds that 11 Directorates out of 50 have received the late wages in a confidential way, and the process will touch 81,000 teachers, including 75,000 beneficiaries in the rank of key professor and trainer of the primary and middle school phases, and 6,000 professors who retired between 2012 and 2014.

At the time she confirmed that the late wages will be paid retroactively on 5 stages, the first stage before December 31, the 2^nd   before July, 2016, and the third tranche before December 31 of the same year, and the fourth before July, 31, 2017, while they will receive the fifth part in the end of 2017, as late wages the will be between 200,000 and 600,000 ZDZ.
