Maj. Gen. Gaid Salah: “Armed Troops will Continue To Gain Strength, Professionalism”
Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, reiterated the efforts that are made to develop and modernize the naval forces pursuant to the directives of the President of the Republic, asserting that the armed forces will continue its efforts to acquire the factors of force and superiority that exist in today’s world.
In a speech during his visit, on Wednesday, to the leadership of naval forces, Maj. Gen. Gaid Salah, said: “As part of the follow-up to the implementation of the troops’ development plan to upgrade and modernize the fleet’s capabilities, the actual results that were achieved in recent years in the development of naval forces, with all the rationality and insight, is clearer and richer than every statement, thanks to the continuous support and continuous guidance that the army continues to receive from the President of the Republic, and then with the firm determination and strict vigilance to implement the comprehensive and integrated development and modernization plan”.
“Clarity of the future vision of the armed forces’ work which is the descendant of the National Liberation Army, is the good interpretation of its requirements, and the sincerity of intention, the workmanship and the unbridled desire to succeed in all that is good for our armed forces and the good of our homeland, which are all motivating factors to achieve these results, as we intend to continue to acquire the strengths and adapt the character of excellence, which are adapting correctly to the accelerating developments that are known in today’s word.”
“We followed sincere work and pursued it in the last few years alone, and with Allah help we have been able to reach these advanced levels of development and modernization of the Navy and other forces of the National Popular Army”.
Maj. Gen. Gaid Salah, accompanied by Major General, Mohamed Al Arabi Haouli, commander of the naval forces, met with the officials and members of these forces in a salute to the lives of the three officers of the crew of the search and rescue helicopter, who were martyrs of national duty, and who passed away on May, 21, after the tragic crash, expressing sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
The message of condolence that sent by the President of the Republic to the leadership of the National People’s Army and to the families of the victims was also read.
Gaid Salah supervised the inspection of the “Destroyer” frigate, No. 911, inaugurated its launch and inspected this warship that is equipped with the latest high-precision marine-military technologies that are capable of operating and intervening in a wide range to perform multiple missions.
