Maj. Gen. Gaid Salah: “We Maintain Algeria's Liberation Approach”

Upgrading the military performance of individuals and units, and acquiring the desired individual and collective fighting skills, and providing flexibility and unity in combat operations by providing practical and operational proof of full readiness to carry out the tasks that are entrusted to it, is the work which the leadership of the army is keen to encourage practically and professionally, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the Army, said on Monday.

According to the statement of the Ministry of National Defense, which copy is available to Echorouk, Gaid Salah closely followed the stages of the implementation of a tactical exercise at the level of a supported brigade, real shooting and live ammunition, on Monday, at the level of the operational area of north-east of Ain Amenas in Illizi province, which aims to train individuals and units on hostilities that are close to reality, and testing readiness as well.

In an evaluation meeting for the various stages of the exercise, the statement added: “Maj. Gen. Gaid Salah had a meeting with the members of armed units that participated in the exercise through the technique of distance lecturing, and congratulated them for the great efforts which they made throughout the year of the combat preparation. His personal and permanent keenness to oversees the tactical and data tests’ development of combat experience comes to evaluate the preparatory field level, believing that the consolidation of fight knowledge can be achieved through focusing on abilities and instilling the harmonious and integrated teamwork behaviors, and realzing operational goals that can only be achieved through the field due to successful exercise”.
