Money transfer is forbidden in pilgrimage starting from next year

Saudi authorities committed the Office of Hadj and Umrah by the beginning of next season to pay subscription costs for the Algerians who registered in the rites electronically for the first time in the history of organizing the pilgrimage season, to monitor all the financial remittances during this period, in a time the office began negotiating with a number of companies that are specialized in electronic money transfers to enable pilgrims to pay their dues on time.

According to the General Manager of the National Office of Hajj and Umrah, Youcef Azzouza, who told Echorouk that the Saudi side committed Algeria and all the countries to apply this method of payment starting from next season, which necessitated launching negotiations with companies that are specialized in remittances for the application of this type of dealings with the concerned institution that gives its final approval through the Khans program, which stems from the rehabilitation and guarantee reaching the visa, which eventually end by giving the final approval.

Concerning the purpose of the procedure, he added that Saudi services seek to control the internal situation by monitoring every person that enter and exit Saudi Arabia through the provided data, which is registered through this system.

“Application of this technology will enable the improvement of services from residence and subsistence, and everything that is linked to organization, as Hadj can identify those elements in advance before arriving to Saudi Arabia, and allows the concerned parties to follow up on the compatibility of services, including what is recorded in the system, which will lead to address imbalances in the real time. A new system was applied. In the experimental phase, the Hadj could see his/her place of residence before traveling to the holy sites, according to the programmed flight.

It should be noted that the government has completed two phases of the electronic track until now, which are the in biometric passport and the introduction of all Algerians pilgrims in the electronic system, to keep the electronic payment card.
