Morocco punishes Cheb Khaled because of his support for Western Sahara
Cheb Khaled lost a sum of 8 million ZDZ, after the concert in Morocco’s Casablanca was canceled.
“Meditel” communications’ company, which is the official organizer of Cheb Khaled ceremony that was supposed to be held on January, 15, in the “Megarama” cinema hall, canceled the event, because, as the Moroccan press said, “The King” cancelled his concert in Tindouf (southern Algeria), after the agreement that was held by the Company with the organizers of the concert, the sponsoring was withdrawn because of his concert in Tindouf, which coincided with Morocco celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Green March.
According to Moroccan websites, Cheb Khaled, who is liked by the King Mohammed VI, was supposed to receive 8 million ZDZ, in exchange for the ceremony, as he received half of the amount from Abdelali Lamher Company, who is known as Talis, the organizer of the ceremony on January, 15, 2016.
