Mujahideen Organization: “We Refuse To Deal With The Black Feet… Our Blood Is Still Flowing”

Mr. Abdelwahid Boudjaber, a member of the National Secretariat of the National Organization of the Mujahideen (War Veterans), refused to normalize relations with the “black feet” (Pieds Noirs), whatever the justifications, and considered engaging in such a normalization endeavor as a “betrayal” of the Revolution, the Martyrs and the Algerian people in general.

“The black feet have a black history in Algeria and everyone knows this,” Mr. Boudjaber said. “Who among us does not remember the heinous crimes of this group against the Algerians after the cease-fire on March 19, 1962”.

“They created the terrorist organization represented by the Secret Army Organization (OAS) “whose sole aim was to blow up bombs and kill Algerians indiscriminately”, he said.

“We call them the black feet, because they committed atrocities against innocent Algerian people, and those who talk today about establishing relations with this sinister group that have turned their hands on the blood of the Algerians have not witnessed what these criminal groups have done in Algeria during the brutal French colonial yoke.

They ignore the untold suffering endured by the Algerians at the hands of these criminal groups”, he underlined.

“But fortunately, some of those who have experienced the crimes of these criminals are still alive, and they can expose the criminal practices applied by the colonial “ultras”, who never imagined that Algeria would slip out of their hands.”

He stressed the leadership of the National Organization of the Mujahideen is firmly set to reject any rapprochement with the “black feet”.

“The Algerian people, especially the Mujahideen and the sons of the glorious Martyrs, cannot accept the existence of of direct or indirect dealings between Algeria’s authorities and people with the remnants of these terrorist groups, and wouldn’t cooperate with them as long as they’re alive.

The Mudjahid Abdelwahid Boudjaber believes that the horrendous crimes committed by the “black feet” in Algeria extended in time and didn’t stop in the period following the ceasefire until the declaration of independence on July 5, 1962, just as the crimes of these gangs weren’t limited to a certain category of French and Europeans who forcibly took over the lands of the Algerians, thus steeping them into hunger and annihilation”, he stated.

In the opinion of Mudjahid Boudjaber, the Evian agreements dealt with the issue of the black feet and gave them the right to remain in Algeria, but they “realized that their odious crimes could not pass without reckoning and therefore most of them fled for fear of paying for their crimes if they remained in Algeria.”

Furthermore, he seized the opportunity to call on the services of justice not to respond to the demands of the “black feet” on the issue of property, because they left the country voluntarily and therefore have no right to talk about property, says Mr. Boudjaber, who further described the “black feet” as traitors, stressing that they must dealt with for what they deserve, because “our blood is still flowing”, as he put it.
