New baccalaureate graduates will study to 7:00 pm in universities

Higher Education Ministry rushed to develop an emergency plan to prevent overcrowding and deficit in universities during the past years, due to the large number of successful, as it imposed for the first time a night timetable for the study at universities which are experiencing pressure especially in the capital.

Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Tahar Hadjar, revealed on a swift action to prevent any pressure on the university level because of the large number of successful in the baccalaureate 2015, and said at a press conference that was hold on Sunday, at the Supreme National School for Computing that the universities which notice a pressure, will follow a special timeline.

“If necessary the students study until 7:00 pm. Ministry initiated in the preparation for the university year’s start, by identifying Wilayas that notice large pressure, through completing pedagogical and residence structures. Number of seats and beds that are available at the national level ensure a good start of university entry, as over 76,000 new seats and 50.000 beds are expected to be delivered at the beginning of October.”

Regarding the university registrations that were supervised by the minister, and which last for five days, the latter explained that the final declaration of the specialties will be from July 21 until 28, to open the way before the stage of appeals, which ends on July 30, and then the space will be opened in front of the final registrations until August 6.

According to Hadjar, the question of appeals noticed a large clamor because of the ignorance of the students and their parents for the way in which they are directed, explaining that the rates in the student’s card are the rates of participation, and not a final choice.
