New Visa, Control Procedures For Algerians At Italian Airports
Measures that accompanied the seven-nation summit in Bari are about the re-establishment of surveillance operations across all airports in the country, Loridana Rosati, press officer at the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, told Echorouk.
“Checks would cover all passengers, including those who come from the EU, or from Algeria, Tunisia or any other country”.
“All airports were notified to take the necessary procedures that are surrounding the operation, including taking into account the required time to complete the monitoring of documents of passengers at airports”.
“Schengen visa holder can enter and exit through the airports of Italy, but the control will be imposed on the visa holders or Europeans who were previously exempted from the control procedures”.
These measures came in coordination with the Italian Interior Ministry, in anticipation to the seven-countries summit in the south of the country, between May, 11 and 13 and Taromina on the island of Sicily between May 26 and 27, and will start on May,10 at 00:00 until midnight on May,30, 2017.
