Nouria Benghabrit: “We hope the BAC and BEM results will be in the level of our efforts”

National Education Minister, Nouria Benghabrit, confirmed that the ministry gave a considerable attention for the secondary phase and baccalaureate degree due to their sensitivity to the Algerian family, while she neglected an important part of the sector of primary phase, which is living an appalling situation under the lack of hygiene in the primary schools and ancient schools.

Benghabrit said, during a work session that brought her on Saturday with the educational family in Bordj Bouariridj (Eastern Algeria), on the sidelines of the working visit which led her to the province, that primary schools that make up nearly three-quarters of the education sector by 72 percent should take its right place and receive the necessary attention.

“Kids who receive education for 5 years in unacceptable conditions, left the primary school with dark pictures and memories, which prompted the ministry to make critical decisions this year, as a large national campaign will be launched in partnership with the Interior Ministry for the maintenance of primary schools, and make them decent facilities for the reception of millions of young children, during the coming school year, refusing to keep the primary school under the responsibility of some parties.

“Joint ministerial committees will be created between the Education and Interior Ministries on the grounds that the primary schools belong to the municipalities, in order to solve the primary phase problems, which has a structural role to provide the required competencies, considering that it is very necessary to restore dignity to this and its phase, and staff from teachers, administrators and inspectors.”
