Oil does not run out in Algeria, Energy Minister, Saleh Khebri, says

Energy Minister, Saleh Khebri, rejected the criticism against his sector and said that oil does not run out in Algeria, and that the new discoveries are continuous, and Algeria pumped 7% of Sonatrach incomes.

Khebri explained, during his answer on the economists’ questions in Djenane El Mithak, on Sunday, that the oil discoveries are ongoing and that the government took advantage of only 18% of those that were realized in Hassi Messaoud, and it will be possible, during the next phase, to raise exploitation rate to 38%, while he talked about pumping new discoveries for 7% from Sonatrach revenues, and will soon raise this percentage to 1.
