One million files to obtain the Algerian Biometric passport in France

Algeria Ambassador to Paris, Amar Ben Djamaa, said that more than one million Algerian immigrants registered to obtain the Biometric passport, while 80% of the demands were rejected by Hamiz center because the picture do not match with the standards that are required by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Algeria ambassador said, in a statement to APS, that among 1.868.210 Algerians who are registered in France, there have been more than a million files to obtain a Biometric Passport until November 14, 2015, with an increase of 60%, while the deadlines that were set by the International Civil Aviation Organization ended on November 24, 2015 (59.4%) and 758 511 files remain is not registered yet.
“Over 154.447 Algerian immigrants did not ask to receive their passports at the level of the Algerian consulates, and 11600 files were rejected at the level of Hamiz center, for various reasons, including 80% because the pictures do not match with the standards that are required by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
It is known that the Biomitric system is part of the third generation of the passports with digital content, after the optical reading passport and the e-passport. 
This document contains a SIM with radio waves that allow the machines to read the information on the passport holder, as the International Civil Aviation Organization has confirmed that the passports that are not read through the machine will not be accepted after the date of November 24, 2015.
