Secretary General of the National Democratic Rally, Ahmed Ouyahia, expressed astonishment of the “sudden love” by some political parties towards the Security Intelligence Service and the DRS, in the wake of the removal of the former official, the Maj. Gen. Mohamed Medine, who is called Toufik.

Ouyahia’s speech intended the political parties that have expressed their displeasure over the recent changes which were noticed by the military institution recently, and said: “There are political parties that want to confuse the scene. They feel sudden love toward the DRS. They called this service as the political police and butcher”.

“We support this love, but provided that the objective is not destroying the armed forces unity. I’m surprised to see the retired Maj. Gen. Houcine Ben Hadid, among these parties, including the former officers, who sleep and wake up on criticizing the president and the military institution. Everyone is required to select the words, and imposes censorship on their tongues, because the prestige of the state actually cannot support insulting and will not stand idly by watching insulters”.

Commenting on the statement of the Presidency of the Republic, on the decisions which affected the DRS services, Ouyahia denied that it is an apology, because the presidency was not required to do so, and also denied any intention to undo those decisions, pointing out that the wrong way, which was followed by the official television statement, increased the doubts.
