Ouyahia: “The State Won’t Give Up Support For Agriculture… No land granting for those Who Don’t Serve It”

Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia said on Monday that the state will not forsake the policy of support in the agricultural field, stressing that the land will be granted in the future only to those who serve it, in parallel with the integration of all graduates of faculties of agronomy in the process.
Mr. Ouyahia said in a speech on the occasion of the final proceedings of the national meetings on agriculture, Monday, at the Palace of Congress, that the state decided not to retreat from the policy of supporting the agricultural sector in the drawing up the Finance Act of 2019, noting that the state has increased the subsidy to the agricultural sector up to 100 percent of the financial package directed to the sector, with the allocation of 130 billion dinars to support products and agricultural activity as a whole.
Mr. Ouyahia also called for the need to promote economic integration in the field of agriculture through a coordination among different sectors, notably at the level of university, which annually graduated 13 thousand students in agriculture specialties and 30 thousand holders of certificates of vocational training, and their integration into permanent jobs, so as to allow for the improving of the quality of agricultural production and development through the use of scientific expertise.
He further pointed to the need of smoothly exploit the agricultural equipment produced locally by each of the factories of Sidi Bel Abbes and Constantine, which contribute to the shoring up the indicators of production.
The Prime Minister finally highlighted the need to strengthen the dynamics of agricultural development through the creation of a wide network between distribution, transfer and export in order to stimulate and encourage producers to raise production, while revealing a review of the list of activities on future stimulus measures to drive investors to pay more attention to these fields of endeavor.
