Over 200,000 Egyptians are secured, benefit from facilities in Algeria
Egyptian government formally asked the Algerian authorities to grant new privileges to 200,000 Egyptians who are working in Algeria, through easing procedures to grant them residence or the rules of entry and exit, and search a joint project for insurances and social security.
An Egyptian mission that is composed of the Egyptian Ambassador, Hisham al-Naqib, Assistant to Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad, and representatives from Egyptian Ministries visited Algiers for a three days’ visit to discuss the solution to the Egyptians’ problems in Algeria.
Captain Hisham al-Naqib, said on Wednesday, in a statement that was quoted by Egyptian media; “The visit aims to discuss the create an Egyptian – Algerian joint consular committee that serves as a mechanism for ways to solve all the issues that are related to consular affairs that belong to the Egyptian community in Algeria, and which exceeds 200.000, in addition to the presence of investment companies that are operating in the two countries and that need continuous follow-up to overcome any obstacles that are related to the rules of entry and exit, and search capabilities to search a joint venture for insurance, and social security, and any other business projects.”
