PM Abdelmalek Sellal participates in a counter terrorism rally in Tunisia

Algeria will participate, in the person of the Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, in the counter-terrorism rally, here on Sunday, in the capital Tunis, after it had already participated in the Paris march against terrorism, following the attacks against Charlie Hebdo magazine, last January.

Algeria will officially participate in Tunisia’s counter terrorism rally, but President Bouteflika chooses the PM Abdelmalek Sellal to represent him this time, with a senior delegation that is heavier diplomatically, compared to that which represent him in Paris rally, where representation was limited to the Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra, and according to the Tunisian Presidency, four Presidents, and a number of senior officials and parliamentarians from several Arab and foreign countries, will participate in the million-man rally, which will be held today in Tunis against terrorism.
Spokesman for the Tunisian Presidency, Mouiz Sinaoui, said during a press conference that was held, on Saturday, that the presidents who have confirmed their participation in the upcoming rally, are the French President, Francois Hollande, and the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, and the Polish, Bronislaw Komorwski, and Ali Bongo of Gabon.
“Algeria Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, will represent his country. German Interior Minister, Thomas de Mesar, and President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Laura Boldrini, also confirmed their participation in the rally, in addition to several Arab and foreign parliamentary delegations.”
It was decided to organize this march to denounce terrorism, after the attack that targeted, during last Wednesday Bardo Museum in the western suburbs of Tunis, killing 21 people including 20 tourists, a Tunisian security man and two terrorists, and leaving 47 wounded.
