Businessman and the owner of “Cevital” group, Ysaad Rebrab, accused the Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdessaalam Buchouareb of obstructing the export of 600,000 washing machines since last November.

“I deposited the file at the level of Industry Ministry since 8 months ago, but he did not obtain a response until now, although the license is supposed to be ready in a matter of a week since the filing of the application at the latest, according to the law, and wondered about the mystery of procrastination in granting the approval.”
Rebrab confirmed, on the sidelines of the Economic Forum that was organized, on Monday, by the People’s National Assembly in Djenan Mithak, on “Investing in Algeria, Challenges and Prospects”, the need to eliminate the obstacles that are imposed against investors in Algeria.
“Investors are exposed to various bureaucratic pressures and administrative difficulties. Algeria is the only country that imposed a thousand document on the investor who creates wealth. Even when we want employment, the government forced us to obtain a license. I do not understand why all these complications.”
Rebrab called upon higher authorities to facilitate the exit from the mantle of hydrocarbons and the development of the industrial sector by stimulating businessmen who are wishing to enter the areas of investment, and give the priority to exporters before importers. Industry and Mines Ministry imposed major obstacles on investors who are wishing to export, stating “I do not understand why does the Industry Ministry refuses to make it easier for Algerians who are wishing to supply global markets with products that are manufactured in Algeria. Just go to the Minister of Industry and ask him why?”
